Pig producers all over Europe are kindly invited to join this year’s congress of the European pig producers club (EPP). From 30 May – 01 June we will meet together in the beautiful city of Vilnius, the capitol of Lithuania in Eastern Europe. Together with our partners Boehringer Ingelheim, Big Dutchman Pig Equipment, Topigs SNW and the Lithuanian pig producers association EPP invites all members and interested persons to get actual information about pig production in Eastern Europe.

“Pig production in the Baltic region – chances and challenges”, under this topic experts and practitioners of Lithuania, Russia, Belarus and Poland are informing about the economical potential of agriculture and pig production in the Baltic region.

The global overview for pork consumption, production and trade opens the second congress day. Strategies against pig diseases are also in focus, as well as the question how to achieve consumer requirements and the public opinion of modern pig farming. Discussions with practical farmers about production costs, feed safety and the pigmeat lobbying organization at EU-Level are on the agenda, too.

The partners program on Thursday foresees a visit of Trakai, a very old and historical place near Vilnius.

On Friday EPP offers different trips to typical pig farms in Lithuania in order to get also a practical look insight. The traditional Gala Dinner closes the Congress on Friday evening.
