After 21 years the chairman of the German EPP branch Franz Meyer zu Holte retired as chairman of the German ISN. New chairman is now Heinrich Dierkes, formerly Vice chairman of the ISN.
The agriculture secretary of lower Saxony, Hans Heinrich Ehlen, DLG President Carl Albrecht Bartmer and ZDS chairman Helmut Ehlen honoured Franz Meyer zu Holte as outstanding character of the German agriculture. He was also as founder of the German ISN significantly involved in building up the German “Vereinigungspreis” which is the basic price for slaughter pigs in the North-West of Europe.
