EPP Congress in Seva/Vic, Spain 2005


The EPP Congress 2005 was held in Vic / Spain from 26 – 29 May.

Altogether 198 people participated in the annual meeting. It started on the 26 at 16.00 h in Vic. After the welcome by the president the first session started at 16.30 h.

 

Mr Guillem Burset (ESP), Manager of the Group UNEXPORC, gave an overview about the EU pig market. (SHEETS only in Spanish)

Mrs Esperanza Orellana (ESP), General Subdirector of Pig Farming, Chicken Farming and other Cattle Productions of the Ministerio de Agricultura, gave the participants some explanations about the Spanish pig market. (SHEETS only in Spanish)

Mr Joaquín Spörke (CL), Consultant on pig production from Chile: His speech was about the market in North and South America. (SHEETS only in Spanish)

 

Unfortunately, the Spanish people had to leave the conference room after this session and had no chance to listen to the results of the second EPP questionnaire which were presented by the manger of EPP Martin Ziron. The speeches of the first day were rounded up by the explanation of the EU pig price comparison by Andreas Beckhove (ISN).

The second day on Friday started with two panel discussions, but because of the long speeches of the referents there was only a short time for discussion.
